Case Study: National Geographic

Nice title. Isn’t it?

Almost end of the quarter!
Don’t want to mess things now

The case study I did was about National Geographic.
If my memories are right I think it’s a TV channel.
Why did I write it this way?
Because after seeing all their Facebook page, twitter, and other pages, chances are, you still don’t know what they are doing!

What they do on Facebook is probably one thing.
They try to link people to their official HP.
And I think they are doing well on this.
They are creating buzzes too.

Other than that, they are doing not good.
Twitter? Boring. Blogging? Can’t find much information.
They should definitely try harder, or maybe try doing just Facebook.
They have good information on their HP.
So why do things they are doing at the HP?

It’s hard to do things on the social media because it’s not just giving information out to people.
Companies should be aware of this.

  1. Hi teammate, Yasu,

Our class is almost done. Time goes by so fast..
    Oh, it’s a TV channel.. I didn't know that.

Yes, I don’t still know what they are doing after I searched it even now.

They have good information on their HP & FB, so it might be one good way
to focus on only FB and improve FB much more.

Nat Geo is a very big organization, so they might need to have some social
    network for any reason.

Doing things on the social media is often complicated for audiences.
Sometimes it's even hard to communicate with people and give
information face to face I think.

It will have been a difficult question..

    Thanks,

    See you in our class.

    Ken.

    Thanks for commenting.
Only two classes left! That is fast!
    I actually don’t know… I just guessed.

As said, Nat Geo does need to work on harder.
What they need to do is increase recognition.
Facebook is the best way but they are just not doing it!
But this was a good lesson to us.
The era of just using social media has ended.
Now is the time to consider, how to use it.

I hope this count as replying to your class mates.
